What would I do without you Vavia, my beautiful girl. I love you so.

What would I do without you Vavia, my beautiful girl. I love you so.

Luckily Rich captured this. We were driving home last night and this is what Vavia said, out of the blue.

We went to my sister’s place yesterday and had a nice little cookout before it started storming. I also got to take some great pics of my beautiful niece, Seraya. I cannot believe she is already 6 months old! Sometimes I feel like I do not get to spend much time with her, because even when I am there, I have to keep Vavia from feeling too jealous. Vavia received so much attention since she was a baby and she is struggling with sharing the spotlight. Even so, she seemed to do a little better yesterday. She was still very territorial of her mom, her mom’s iphone, her mom’s food, haha, just about everything really…but she also seemed a little more interested in Seraya and a little more willing to play with her. At one point in the night Vavia actually leaned over and kissed her without anyone asking. That was a first. It was a precious little moment.
I haven’t been blogging lately. Life has been a roller coaster of late but hopefully I can get back on track. Vavia is growing so much! We took her to the pool about a week ago and she was practically swimming! She loves the water and everyone knows when we leave the pool. It was a good time though. Hoping to get some of her friends together next time for a swim.
I have to say the 2s are definitely a challenging time. Vavia is exerting her independence and challenging us every chance she gets. Sometimes it is very frustrating, but I know it’s all part of growing up. We’re learning as we go. I have to say, the infant years, even the first couple of months are a LOT easier than this stage.
Anyway, here are some photos I was playing around with this evening.
