We encourage creativity in this household.
For our second anniversary, Richard bought me a canvas (the theme is cotton for 2 years and we are sticking with tradition so far). He also bought some finger paints with the idea that we could all paint a picture together. I decided to let Vavia do the majority of the work.
What came out is a gorgeous original that I decided to call “Passing Afternoon”. Those of you familiar with Iron & Wine might recognize this as the title of one of their most beautiful songs. Nothing specific to this day, but I liked it and thought it worked.
We still have to sign this. Richard and I contributed a little but mostly let Vavia just let loose on it. I love the accomplished smile on her face below!
