Yesterday at 11:13 EDT, Samia gave birth to a wonderful baby girl.
She came into the world with a full head of hair and weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs and is 19 inches long. We’ve named her Vavia Rose Joseph!
Samia was a real trooper. She is so much stronger than I ever knew. She delivered our baby completely natural. No pain medication at all, during or even after.
I can’t believe how much different the world looks today. I have hope again. I am so proud of my family. My perfect daughter and my beautiful wife, there is so much that’s right with the world today.
I was concerned the weeks preceding Vavia’s arrival. I was concerned that I was bringing an innocent, defenseless being into this jungle only to be devoured alive.
What were we doing? How could do this to this child?
Once she arrived, my fears melted away as I looked upon her perfection and strength.
Now I know that it’s not the world that will change my daughter. The world won’t corrupt or devour her. She will change the world!
